ABOUT US
The Mission
We seek to empower, encourage and equip Christian Women with the Gospel to live a life that is set apart from the World and in obedience to the Word of God.
Deuteronomy 14:2 reads as follows: “For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God, and the Lord hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.
The Vision
Peculiar in a Popular Place is a ministry that was birthed out of a desire to see women built up and established in their faith. P3(Peculiar in a Popular Place) strives to illuminate how the Bible actively speaks to every life matter and has the power to change the life of each woman when she seeks to know God for herself. There is literally a thin line between the Word of God and the World. We must be so careful to live a life that pleases God regardless of who it identifies us with or separates us from.
Values of Peculiar in a Popular Place (P3)
Stand True
The Bible is trustworthy, true, and what we build our entire life upon. Our authenticity is rooted in a life that is obedient to the true Word of God.
Stand Out
We will not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of our minds, that we may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Stand for God
As women of God, we treasure the Bible and seek to live out Holy lives as we are commanded to be Holy for our Lord is Holy.
Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.
1 John 2:15 NLT
WHAT WE BELIEVE

GOD’S WORD
We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God. It is without error and never changes. The Bible is trustworthy, true, and what we build our entire life upon. We affirm all 66 books of the Bible, from the Old Testament to the New Testament. As women of God, we treasure the Bible and seek to live out what we read and study each day in loving obedience to our God.
(2 Timothy 3:15-17, 2 Peter 1:19-21)
GOD
God is the great I am. He is omniscient (all-knowing), omnipresent (always with us), and omnipotent (all-powerful). God is the creator of the universe and mankind. He is one God existing in three persons, referred to as the Trinity – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4)
JESUS CHRIST
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He was the only man to ever live a sinless life on earth being both fully God and fully man. He died on the cross, taking on and atoning for our sins though the shedding of his blood. The actions of Christ ensures that we can walk in newness of life and have a right relationship with God. After being crucified, He rose from the dead three days later and has ascended to the right hand of the throne of God. Jesus Christ will return again in power and glory.
(John 1:1-18, 1 Timothy 3:16, Isaiah 9:6, 1 Timothy 2:5, Colossians 1:13-22)
HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. After Jesus ascended into Heaven, God sent the Holy Spirit to be our counselor, comforter, and keeper. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sins, and equips the believer for ministry and life. The Holy Spirit lives inside of all believers and testifies to the will of God.
(Genesis 1:2, Acts 1:8, Ephesians 1:13-14)

SALVATION
We believe that salvation is only through Jesus Christ. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by our own good deeds or human efforts, but through Jesus’ righteousness and shed blood on the cross.
(Romans 3:23, Romans 10:9, Ephesians 2:8-9, Galatians 2:16, 3:8, Titus 3:5, Acts 16:31, Hebrews 9:22)
REPENTANCE
Repentance is the commitment to turn away from sin in every area of our lives and to follow Christ, which allows us to receive His redemption and to be regenerated by the Holy Spirit. Thus through repentance we receive forgiveness of sins and appropriate Salvation.
(Acts 2:21, 3:19, 1
THE CHURCH
The church is the body of Christ that is called to live out God’s mission today. It is not a place, but rather the body of believers. The church is the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of Jesus Great Commission.
(Matthew 28:19-20, Colossians 1:8, 1 Peter 5:1-5)
BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
Given at Pentecost, it is the promise of the Father, sent by Jesus after his Ascension, to empower the Church to preach the Gospel throughout the Earth.
(Joel 2:28-29, Matthew 3:11, Mark 6:17, Acts 1:5, 2:1-4, 17, 38-39, 8:14-17, 10:38, 44-47)
MARRIAGE
We believe that marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman. The marriage bed is sacred, and sex is a gift of God between a husband and wife in the confines of marriage. We believe that the wife should love and submit to her husband as the church loves and submits to Christ. We also believe that the husband should love his wife as Christ laid down His life for the church.
(Ephesians 5:22-33) (Matthew 19:4-6)
